Making a high-risk operation safe
Database migrations are one of the highest-risk operations a team runs — a wrong step can corrupt data or take a service down. QueryLens is an AI assistant that guides MySQL and PostgreSQL migrations and makes them safe: every change is proposed, explained, and reviewable before it's applied.
I led the frontend and owned the UI/UX end to end — from an empty canvas to a shipped product. The design challenge was turning an intimidating, error-prone task into a calm, step-by-step flow that an engineer can trust.
What I built
A guided, reviewable flow
- The full UI/UX for the assistant — information architecture, interaction design, and implementation.
- A step-by-step scan → review → apply flow that surfaces the exact change and its risks before anything runs.
- An interface built around reviewability — contributing to a record of zero unsafe migrations.
